The Scarlet TWL-1S is a color-coded heat stress monitor that measures temperature, humidity, radiant heat, and wind speed to generate real-time work-rest-hydration guidance on site. The TWL-1SR variant adds a 433 MHz wireless pager (200m range) for remote alerts when safe working time runs out. USB data logging and rugged, dust-protected sensors make it ideal for construction sites, tower cranes, ports, chemical plants, and airports. Available from Sertex Safety UAE.

Description

Scarlet TWL-1S Heat Stress Monitor — Thermal Risk Assessment Device

The Scarlet TWL-1S is a heat stress monitoring device designed to track and evaluate thermal risk levels for both indoor and outdoor work environments. Its color-coded display gives workers and safety officers an instant, easy-to-read risk status — no technical interpretation needed. The unit captures four key environmental readings — air temperature, humidity, radiant heat, and wind speed — and processes them through a built-in Thermal Work Limit (TWL) algorithm to generate real-time work, rest, and hydration guidance based on current heat-stress protocols.

Available in two variants: the standard TWL-1S for on-site monitoring and data logging, and the TWL-1SR, which adds a wireless remote pager for alerting supervisors or workers away from the main unit.

Key Features:

  • Color-Coded Risk Display — The LCD screen shows a simple green/yellow/red status: green indicates safe working conditions, yellow signals a caution or buffer zone, and red means work should stop. A built-in countdown timer also shows time remaining before the next scheduled rest break, alongside recommended fluid intake.
  • Remote Alert System (TWL-1SR) — Once the safe working timer expires, the device automatically notifies connected pagers using 433 MHz wireless technology, giving up to 200 meters of open-area coverage — ideal for large sites where supervisors aren’t always near the monitoring point.
  • Rugged Sensor Housing — The temperature and humidity sensors sit behind a replaceable polypropylene (PP) filter inside a protective shield, guarding against dust and impact. A silicone cover similarly shields the wind-speed sensor mechanism.
  • PC Data Logging — Connects via USB to a Windows PC for downloading and reviewing historical thermal risk data, useful for HSE reporting and compliance records.

Recommended Applications:
Construction sites, tower crane operations, outdoor events, port terminals, chemical plants, and airports — anywhere workers face prolonged heat exposure and a documented work-rest cycle is required for safety compliance.

Available at Sertex Safety UAE, serving Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and across the UAE.
